Matthew H. Green is the nom de plume of a writer who has spent his life in the American South, primarily in Tennessee. He currently resides with his wife and a cat in a neighboring state to Tennessee. Shadows of Doubt, Shadows of Ecstasy is his first published book of fiction.  Additionally, he has written other novels, short stories, poems, and nonfiction. 

Green spent his working life in university administration at several southern universities. While most of his written work relates to his work in higher education, Green has always returned to fiction with a special devotion.
